Holland Trails Committee Minutes
Date: January 28, 2015
Present: Richard & Chris Haller, Jackie Proko, Stacy Riley, Fred Beaulieu, and Lynn Arnold
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Dick Haller. The minutes were approved as read.
Old Business:
The brochure has not been completed. It should be ready for inclusion in the census mailing.
The Board of Health budget includes a portable toilet, which will serve the trailhead, in June, July, and August. The Army Corps will cover April and May.
The next step in the Community Center Trail is to get approval from the Board of Health
The calendar was discussed. It was approved with revisions.
New Business:
Lynn asked the Committee to write a memo to Chris Dunfey of Pioneer Valley regarding the progress which has been made. Grant award letters should be attached. Dick agreed to take care of this.
The Cross Road gate has been removed. It will be relocated in the spring. The Committee is interested in the possibility of relocating it at the junction of Old Morse Road and Old Holland Road. Dick will discuss this with Keith Beecher.
The Brimfield Trail Association has set the date for the 5 K. It will be April 25th. The cost is now $20 ($25 race day), but $15 for those 18 or younger. Dick proposed an expenditure to complete the Morse Road section at the Association meeting, but this was tabled until March 1st. A meeting will be planned to discuss signs with Keith Beecher.
